There are about 15 things on my must do list at the moment.
I have to cut my nails. I need to pay attention to my Pinterest account. I need to clean the pantry and I definitely need to do laundry.
There is only one thing I really want to do though. I want to have a BBQ.
Our flat has a garden that we share with the downstairs neighbour (great guy with a green thumb so I can enjoy the flowers without having to care for them) but it’s not really great for a BBQ because there’s nowhere to store the damn thing. Nevertheless I am dreaming of grilled meat and perfectly cooked corn with a spicy salt and herb butter.
I can’t have that right now, but I can have this list of 5 amazing BBQ recipes and you can too.
1// Erin’s Dad’s Pork Ribs
First up is Erin and her fantastic father. These ribs look delicious and fantastic and every other adjective you can think of. Seriously, how awesome do those ribs look? Erin’s dad is a freaking genius.
2// Christel’s Paleo KFC
We all have those friends who arrive for a BBQ with special dietary requirements. Floor them by providing with this paleo KFC recipe that they’ll love. You can make this on the grill or in the oven depending on how much space you have available.
3// Tracey’s BBQ Chicken Salad
Technically this is BBQ because of the sauce but if you grilled that chicken with a basting of the BBQ sauce, this would be a fantastic salad to accompany a big grilled dinner or take to work. And it’s a flexible salad too so go ahead and chuck in all those good, tasty salad items in your fridge. Yum.
4// Tieghan’s Hawaiian Hot Dogs
These Hawaiian hot dogs are great when grilled and you can set up a build-it-yourself table. People can slap a variety of toppings on their dogs as they please and combined with some fresh salads and sides this could definitely be a crowd pleaser.
5// Jenn’s Bacon Sriracha Potato Salad
This potato salad is salty and spicy and beautiful. That’s right, I said beautiful. This will be the star of my BBQ this summer.
What are your favourite BBQ recipes? And are you a BBQ person at all?
